All of the F-81 Coax Barrel Connectors will come with weather seal rubber boots on both ends regardless of what brand is shipped out to you.
The rubber covers protect the connection point where the coaxial fitting twists on to and connects to the barrel so that when it rains or snows or whatever the elements bring moisture will not get in and corrode the connection at any of your junctions spots. This corrosion actually happens very often and is responsible for over 3/4 of all cable technicians trouble calls.

The internal components of these are much different from a standard VHF/UHF barrel connector. The center coax conductor indexes into a close-
tolerance
tube that is resilient and the close center-tube tolerance assures a tight connection, the plating assures a good electrical connection and the overall performance is greatly improved over standard designs.
Internally, the center conductor tube is insulated from the inner skin of the barrel by a maximum air gap which results in much less RF loss.
Insertion loss is extremely low and not really necessary to consider in complex systems
