2 Vintage 1956 NOS 7.10-15 U S Royal Master Blue "Color Wall" White Wall Tires

I can ship these very scarce and interesting tires anywhere in the world in 2 separate packages using Priority Mail International from the United States Postal Service. Each package will measure 30" by 30" by 6" deep and will weight about 32 pounds. I can ship them anywhere here in the USA in one package measuring 30" by 30" by 12" deep and weighing about 60 pounds using the most economical option from the United States Postal Service, FedEx Ground or UPS Ground services.

This listing is for a pair of extremely rare 7.10-15 (new old stock) and unused U. S. Royal Master blue "Color Wall" wide white wall tires. They are the typical United States Rubber Company "Royal Master" wide white wall tires from around 1956 or so that have a wide white wall as well as a beautifully colored side wall. The specially colored side walls were available in the bright blue color offered here as well as a turquoise green color and a medium brown like those shown in the next to last photo of this listing. The last photo of this listing shows a postcard that shows a U. S. Royal tire dealer in Tennessee or Kentucky with these tires on display in their front yard. Neither all 6 of the tires shown in the next to last photo nor the postcard shown in the last photo are part of this listing. Those last two photos are shown for reference purposes only.
I bought these tires almost 3 years ago from a very unusual collection of NOS tires of many makes or brands in the mid-western United States. They were listed here on eBay. I had a friend who was traveling through there pick them up and bring them to me here in Montana.
After I acquired these tires a few years ago, I either showed them or mentioned them to as many of my friends as I could. I was able to find only two friends who remembered anything about these tires. One local friend remembered that his uncle was a Montana representative for the United States Rubber Company. He had a set of 4 of the turquoise green tires on his light green 1956 Oldsmobile.
Another local friend remembered that a rail car loaded with several new 1956 Ford cars was derailed near here in Bozeman Montana for a few days before it was put back on the rail track. He remembered that some of those brand new cars had "goofy colored" tires like these on them from the factory. He and some of his friends made a few trips to the derailed car in order to steal some parts off of those brand new Fords.
I have a super original low mile "survivor" 1956 Plymouth Belvedere sedan that my Grandmother bought new and never drove. Two of her daughters drove it about 20,000 miles before I acquired it. It is still wearing most of it's original paint that is a darker metallic blue/gray color. I thought this pair of unique tires would look absolutely stunning on one side of that car when it was displayed at a car show or in a museum display. I have too many vehicles (over 250) and way too many projects so I decided to offer this pair of super rare if not totally unique tires to the world of automobile enthusiasts here on eBay.
When I agreed to buy these tires, I assumed that the "color wall" was molded into the side wall just like the wide white wall is. That is definitely not the case. The color wall on these tires appears to be some kind of a paint or coating that was applied over a basic U. S. Royal Master wide white wall tire. If you look closely at the 6th photo of this listing that shows the face of the tire, you will see some of the blue material "slopped over" the tire tread.
These tires are a unique part of the fascinating automobile history here in the USA. This pair of very special tires would make your car a show stopper even if they were installed on only one side of it. These tires would get a lot of attention if they were installed on a 1953-1967 Corvette, any full sized 1949-1967 Chevrolet, a classic Thunderbird or any other car from the 1950's or 1960's that uses 15" tires. Please do not plan to drive on these extremely rare tires that are now about 60 years old. They should be used very carefully and sparingly for display purposes only.
